What do our Student's have to say about the course??
"The Doula training has, for me, been a deep experience of enrichment, joy and celebration of both myself as a woman and as a doula. I would, without hesitation, recommend it to anyone who is curious about deepening their understanding and experience of supporting women in birth- go for it! "
"Highly recommend studying with Rachel from The Birth Yurt, she is an amazing woman to learn from & holds a beautiful space for you to grow into the Doula that feels right for you. Rachel has showed me how to really empower myself & how to support couples through the perinatal period. I am truly blessed to be one of Rachel students & I really honour the wonderful woman that she is."
"I have learnt so much, not just about what it means/needs to become a Doula, but, so much about myself - how I can & need to take care of myself, so that I am truly able to care for others. I have been given the opportunity to build a toolbox which enables me to better relate to others, including my children, who range quite considerably in age. I have learnt so many tools that I have been able to consciously utilise in my life to make it & my relationships better. Not only that, I have also been lucky enough to begin & travel my Doula journey, so far, with a group of beautiful, strong, talented & inspirational women, who have nurtured & supported me along the way. I can't begin to thank Rachel enough for all of this & more. In her beautiful, gentle manner she has nurtured, supported, taught & quietly pushed me (even when I resisted) to learn & become someone who is present & feels not only for others, but, now also for myself".
