Hiring a Student Doula
Throughout the Birth Yurt Doula course, student Doulas are required to be mentored through the practical application of Doula Skills. All students are required to participate in the Student Doula Service.

Student Doula Service
Under the Student Doula Service, a Birth Yurt Student Doula will take on the role of primary Doula for a couple from pregnancy through to birth. The Student will work under supervision of the Birth Yurt, however the Mentor will not participate in the service.
Student Benefits: Practical application of their learnings, gaining hands-on experience; Support from Mentor
Client Benefits: 1-1 Student Doula support throughout pregnancy and birth; huge reduction in Doula fees!
The Birth Yurt is supportive of the Student Doula and understands that the Students are 1) competent to support couples and 2) currently gaining the experience and expertise to enter into a professional Doula practice.
Student Doula Service Fee: Only $350 (to cover supervision and other costs)
